Summery:
For this project I wanted to have a western saloon scene. I gather 2 reference images to help me set up the scene in the interior. Reference image 1 is mostly the set up the the bar. It has the cabinet and the counter top shown. As you see in my project work in progress and in the test render I started to do structural details in the bar area. The stool I took from one other reference image and those are going to be the the seating in the bar area. Then I wanted to start the seating area which I will reference from Reference image 2. That is how I got the table model. I was going to start on the chairs but then I realized the poly count for the scene at the moment was above the actual requirement.
Problems:
The problem that I am now facing with this project is the poly count exceeding 50,000 faces. most of the poly count is from the previous projects. The 2 project that are most concerning is the lantern with around 62,000 face already used and the sack of flour being around a bit less than 10,000 faces. For right now I will want to work on the scene in general and worry about changing the the 2 previous projects and reducing there poly count. Taking that to account I can finish the fixes on the lantern and sack and see how many face I have to work with in the overall project. The other thing is that I might have to rework the texture settings for the previous projects. after taking the review quiz this week I learned that I that to keep sRGB, the Raw, and the Alpha luminance for certain texture maps and I feel I did the wrong settings. so along with the other projects I will reset the textures and put the right settings for them except for the barrel.
